This blog was an assignment for my chemical engineering fluid mechanics course at Auburn University. The posts are about naturally occurring fluid mechanics phenomena that I noticed on a daily basis.

Dryer II
I was thinking about the drying process again today and I became mindful of a fluid phenomena that can occur when you dry your clothes. Have you ever put your clothes into the dryer and then taken them out right when they felt dry and then they felt wet again in a few minutes? This is due to the fact that the water has not completely left the system. Some water is still left in the form of a vapor. When the temperature of the clothes begin to cool and falls below the condensation temperature, the water vapor condenses on your clothes and they become wet again.
